Back in Brookline after traversing west to Bryn Mawr. Iphigenia at Aulis was great. Honey was brilliant as Clytemnestra. I'm glad we saw it but we didn't have much time with her and it was a long drive back. We stayed late in the morning to let Violet recover from two late nights and ended up, after half an hour on the GWB, with a late arrival. We got sushi, watched Friday Night Dinner and went to bed!

This was a big trip for me. Not since I went to LA have I been out of state in a hotel. Not since the lightning. I was mostly OK. We did push boundaries though. Learning the limits. Friday was the Jr. Semi and we made it happen Violet looked lovely and had fun with her friends. So I guess it was a triumph. I think of these things as something we survived, but maybe I should feel proud. We did it! The normal things! Now a sort of normal week before Passover lands and blows it all apart.

But we made it. The wave metaphor was very helpful and I reminded myself of it several times. We didn't stray into the future in our conversations because it's too cloudy to see just yet. Do the next right thing.
