It's 5782. I thought nothing was different, but realized that last year at this time T*ump was in the White House. Sometimes I forget that we are SO much better off now. How dangerous that time was. It was pandemic, maniac President and climate change. We've eliminated one of those threats, though the white supremacist agenda continues to poison the air.
ANYWAY, I went for a walk this morning and listened to the Bridgewater podcast, as well as Levar. I thought it was a nonfiction account of the folklore around Easton, but it's a fun radio play. A bit true crime, a bit supernatural. Fun to listen to something new. Back at work today.
Yesterday we attended services remotely with Scott leading. What a pleasure! We biked out to Jamaica Pond in the afternoon, then walked over to Tashlich at Amory. I was nervous to see other people IRL but it was fine. No one wants to get too close. The weather is perfect.
Monday, we went to Revere Beach with Spring and I finally swam in the ocean. It was lovely, though there was a red tide and planes going over. A very relaxed place, and I was pleased to find it. Much easier to get to than Nantasket, though you need to navigate East Boston.
Back to work now. Next week I start FULL TIME. Not sure how that's going to work, but it's time. New day, new day, new life for me.
