Tuesday Twenty Twenty Two
Jan. 4th, 2022 11:21 amBack at work. Very cold today. I didn't sleep much, thanks to a delicious chocolate cookie in the evening. I went out to pick up groceries and didn't get a walk in this AM. Hope to go out in the afternoon when it's warmer.
Yesterday I slept late and did things around the house to get us ready for the new year. Still in a bit of transition, as Honey heads off to college next week and some of her stuff will be moved out and around. Still, I scrubbed the floor, did laundry, finished unpacking the kitchen, and cleaned out the fridge. We watched Around the World in 80 Days together, which was fun. Love Mr. Tennant in all his forms. I watched Witcher too. It all came together last night in a very satisfying episode. One more should frost the cupcake.
Not sure I mentioned this, but they called off school yesterday to get their act together for today. Such a nightmare. I wish they would go remote. Everyone should stay the fuck at home for the next two weeks. I really don't know how Violet's play is going to move forward. The director is sick. Still, we are being brave and doing our best. Must remember not to negate the stress this brings. It will be slightly better when Honey goes to college because it will be easier to isolate. But if her college closes...who knows.
Moving forward without the stress of the renovation and the Irish excursion! New year, rekindled hope.
