Prepare

Checking in. Violet has a head cold (probably not COVID) so has been out of school for two days. We don't have any to spare, so this is a really bummer. Honey is at the airport, getting ready to fly to us for the holiday. It will be wonderful having her home.

I've made cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Today I will do apple pie and vegan mac and cheese. DH is going to make gravy. That will clear the decks for Thursday. Have we ever had Thanksgiving alone here? I doubt it unless someone was sick. I'm missing the Cape. The ocean.

Happy that Levar Burton Reads is back but holding on to each episode like a gem. I can't get over how one of the best things in my life was bookended with the worst.
