Ducks

Another busy weekend. Bar mitzvah yesterday, then Violet with friends. Today they are an attempting a Friendsgiving in cold temps with high winds on top of a hill. Ah youth!

Last night, some unfortunate words were said which spoiled the evening. We watched See How They Run, which was amusing. It was trying to be several clever things but it failed. Not Wes, not noir, not meta, not a great script, Sam Rockwell was not as interesting as the character should have been. Sometimes I wonder if these things fail because of editing or direction. I think Rings of Power has bad editing and pacing. Ah well. We also watched another poor She Hulk and a pleasant What We Do in Shadows.

Time to get ducks in a row. Plan my cooking for the week. Prepare for the family to be back together.

Came back to add a Big Thing I did last week. I asked for a promotion and my boss agreed to submit it to the Powers That Be. Can't believe I did it. Immediately felt sick and worried. Kind of a shock that I managed that after the rough start to the week. We'll see what happens, but I'm proud that I did it.

Also in the news, T Swift cancelled ticket sales. Big scandal with the company. I hope it burns.
