I went out to the Arboretum this morning. Beautiful walk with Levar. I think I'm getting to know the place. After that I went to Fiore's for a scone and coffee. There were people playing pickleball. It does look like fun. I can't imagine finding other people to play with though. But our family could field a game if we had a court and equipment.

So no plan for the long weekend. DH did not take Monday, nor did he commit to anything. Thinking of the ren faire, but it has a definite hassle factor. Not looking forward to marathon. At least, we can take care of the lighting fixtures. Right? FML

Work seems restful after the weekend. We had a bat mitzvah dinner, services and lunch, saw Frog & Toad at Wheelock, then had dinner with friends. Next was a 50th birthday party, some Guinness, and then collapse in bed with a book. The morning brought an awesome brunch at Veggie Galaxy followed by a library trip for some graphic novels. Out for coffee at The Middle Grey where we heard a few songs by Sweet Wednesday, then a walk on the Muddy River to look at the art installation. Dinner and margarita at El Centro (don't forget they put SESAME seeds on the enchiladas!) Up late for champagne and Sense 8. And I did laundry. Mother of the Year.

The sun is back, the air is sweet and things seem possible.

Today we drive north on our annual trip to the Mt. Washington Resort.

My husband's company, The Math Works, takes the whole staff and their families here every year. It is a stunning location and we dwell in the lap of 19th century luxury for the weekend. I will write a journal entry about it upon my return. Until then, imagine me sitting on the grand porch, looking up at Mt. Washington, with a gin and tonic in my hand.
