We saw "Looper" tonight. Terrific fun. My favorite kind of film, one in which I have little idea what is going to happen next. It's speculative fiction, but very grounded and focused on relationships. While a bit of a puzzle, it obeyed its own laws and wasn't manipulative although it carries heavy emotional weight. This kind of film gives me hope. It has washed away the bad taste of Dark Knight Rises.
