Well, I took the T. It was mostly empty. Everyone was masked and it was fine ride. So amazing to get on here and walk up into Copley Square. Felt very familiar. The library, the church, the city. I do miss it. I feel a little more cosmopolitan. I walked over to get Beatnic after the appt and ate my Hot Chicky in the Public Garden in the snow.

So the MD visit was rough. High BP in the office, so I have to test it at home. Welcome to the 50's, here's your blood pressure monitor. Back down to 127/80 today, but I find that even that is on the high side. This weight I'm carrying takes a toll. Also, it looks like my cholesterol is high. WTF. I will wait to see what the doc says about that. But it's shocking to me. Should I start eating meat and eggs? I will cut out cheese and butter. More oatmeal? The blood test was fine. They used a butterfly and I didn't feel it. I'm sure I will be having another one soon. Definitely a clarion call to take control of my diet. Intermittent fasting. Stop the sweets. At least there's no sign of diabetes. Oy.

Anyway, that was all very stressful. I worked a bit, then had a low-key evening. We ate salad and watched Friday Night Dinner. Puzzle, book, bed. Can't believe Honey's visit is almost over. I wish we had more time to do fun things.

The sun is up, snow is melting. I'm taking control of my health. Yay me.
