Today I walked around Kendrick Pond. It's a really nice 1.5 mile loop. Forgot my headphones though. Manana. I also realized that listening to stories on long walks is more relaxing than all the thoughts that come when you relax and wander. Still not sleeping much.
Last night I finished The Gloaming. I enjoyed seeing Tasmania but it was all very convoluted in the end. Nice surprise twist but I need to read some explanation to connect all the dots. I think it's working out some deep cultural stuff about the aboriginal people and the colonizers. The Crofters brought their pagan rituals with them. It would have been nice to have some alternate big magic but maybe it's better that the police leader was himself one of those kids and brings them down with the law. It's all about memory and history, very well written. I need to see Unforgotten soon!
