Windy and cold. Last night I had to pile up books to hold down the plastic sheet by the air conditioner. Good to see the sun though.

I had a nice talk with a co-worker yesterday. It helped me recover from the shock of Steve's house. I do need to connect to people, apparently.

I'm stressed about all the ordering and shopping. A bit resentful that it all falls on me to coordinate. And I've realized that my life here is focused on taking care of others and staying out of the way. This is a role I've been trained to play but it's not healthy or sustainable.

Last night I watched the first few episodes of I May Destroy You which people said should have been nominated for awards. I watched Michaela Coel's show Chewing Gum a few years ago. She's a compelling performer, but it definitely made me uncomfortable which is probably the point. As for the new series, it's really well done and fascinating. Also a pleasure to watch shows set in other cities! where people ostensibly exist and I cannot visit. We watched a heavy episode of Treme too.

We are slowly getting back in the routine of working and living in this little puzzle box. Looking forward to better weather so we can all GET OUT.

Just looking out the kitchen window, I tried to make myself feel better by noticing the similarities in my view. This is what came out.

There's a tree
There's a driveway
There's a house across the road
But I can't hear the ocean
So this is not my home.
